Talent Spotting at SSE Mentor Programme 2018 /2019
APTA is thankful and proud to participate in the SSE Mentor Programme 2018 / 2019 and get to know the next generation of high potential individuals at the beginning of their career.
APTA knows talent when we see it! Today, we had the first inspirational meeting with Zhou Haoyue, from Shanghai. Zhou is specialised in Marketing Strategy & expecting her Master of International Management (CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education), from Stockholm School of Economics in 2019.
Besides intelligence, experience and competencies; APTA focus on potential. We are always happy when we meet individuals - junior or senior - with high potential. The first indicator of potential APTA looks for is the right kind of motivation. High potential individuals often have e.g. great ambitions, (non-selfish) high goals and aspirations.
APTA then consider four other qualities that are hallmarks of potential :
- Curiosity: a penchant for seeking out new experiences, knowledge, and candid feedback and an openness to learning and change
- Insight: the ability to gather and make sense of information that suggests new possibilities
-Engagement: a knack for using emotion and logic to communicate a persuasive vision and connect with people
- Determination: the wherewithal to fight for difficult goals despite challenges and to bounce back from adversity
